  • Wendy's Classic Achiever Scholarship Awards - For well-rounded graduating students, with at least a 70% grade point average for their previous year, extra-curricular & community involvement, and intending to pursue post-secondary education.   • United Nations Pilgrimage for Youth - Sponsored by Joint Jurisdictional Youth Committee of the Grand Lodge & Rebekah Assembly of Sask. Independent Order of the Odd Fellows.  Winning students attend a bus tour in New York for two weeks in July. The only cost to the student is spending money. Selection is based one-third for grades and application form materials, one-third for the essay and one-third for the speech given.  The essay is to be 450-500 words on the topic, "Describe the United Nations' involvement in a current world affair."   • EF Educational Tours Global Citizen Awards: Two Canadian winners of a 10-day expenses-paid educational tour of Europe in July. Only one student can be nominated per school based on an essay describing "How a person in your community has inspired you to live your life as a global citizen?".   • STF Entrance Prizes: Applicants must have a parent/guardian who has paid STF membership fees or is receiving allowance under the Teachers Superannuation Plan or Retirement Plan in this school year. Applicants must register as a full-time student of at least two years in length at an accredited institution, but no restrictions exist regarding type of educational program or location of the institution.   • Retail as a Career Scholarship: The Canadian Retail Institute has twenty scholarships of $1000 for students entering a full or part-time retail or business-related post-secondary program (retail or business related program OR one of the following additional majors:  Fashion Merchandising/Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Communications, Human Resources Management, Sociology and have some retail work experience at least on a part-time basis.   • Plainsview Credit Union Scholarships: Graduating students attending university or technical training (preference in Sask but others will be considered), students must be account holders at the Plainsview Credit Union for at least 6 months. ·         Gerry McCudden Memorial Scholarship Award:  $450 will be awarded to a graduating student who has displayed leadership roles in the school and community or participation through fine arts, music, theatre, acting, poetry or debate.  The candidate will submit an 500 word essay on:  "There has been increasing evidence that the design and condition of an educational facility has a significant impact on the quality of education and a student's ability to learn."  Describe the changes in your high school facility that you would propose, which you feel once implemented, would improve the quality of education. ·          Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers Program – OYF Memorial Scholarship - $1000 will be awarded to a students pursuing post secondary education in agriculture – Each applicant will type a one page essay on “Why are you passionate about agriculture in Canada?” Each application must also be accompanied by a letter confirming the applicant’s involvement in agricultural affairs from a non-profit family member, a letter of character reference from a non family member and a current transcript of marks.

  • Saskatchewan Government Employees Union (SGEU) Scholarships: Multiple awards available for dependents of SGEU members. Please check out the directory or the webpage www.sgeu.org and click on Useful Links and then under Education.

  • Bill Kehler Memorial Awards: Open to students who have completed Grade 12 and are pursing post-secondary education, up to four awards of $2500 each. For students with academic interests in broadcasting or agriculture. Individuals in professional rodeo will also be able to apply for an award to support their post-secondary studies.   • Weyburn Agricultural Society Bursary: $500 for a student who has exhibited in the Weyburn Fair; with financial need and good character, attending post-secondary school with preference will be given to Agriculture related courses.   • The Grand Lodge of Sask. - Masonic Youth Trust Award:  $1000 is offered annually to Sask.   • Knights of Columbus Bishop Klein Assembly Education Scholarship: One time entrance scholarship of $1000. Grade 12's of Catholic faith, residing in the Bishop Klein Assembly jurisdiction (including Montmartre School and Odessa areas). Based mainly on academic excellence.   • The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command - Jack Moore Memorial Scholarship & Burgess Bursaries:  Available to sons/daughters, grandsons/granddaughters of Veterans, Ex-Service or still serving Military or RCMP personnel.  Twelve Scholarships of $300 will be awarded to students entering university, technical school (2 year course) or Business College based on academic standing.  Twelve Bursaries of $300 will be awarded to students entering the post secondary  listed above based on academic standing and financial need. Must include a photocopy of your final grades including departmental marks from the Ministry of Sasakatchewan.  School career counsellors should have applications.

  • Mainline Chapter Superannuated Teachers of SK. Bursary: Two $300 bursaries for students enrolled in "Mainline" schools (Balcarres, Broadview, Fort Qu'Appelle, Grenfell, Indian Head, Kipling, Montmartre, Whitewood and Wolseley) who plan to continue their education in a recognized Sask teacher training program.  Need a final statement of Gr. 12 marks signed by school official, confirmation of registration in a teacher training program and two letters of references along with the application.   • SaskTel Scholarship: Total of 11 entrance and undergraduate scholarships, valued at $3000 each.  Must be Sask. resident going to enroll in full-time studies (min. 8 mths) at a post-secondary institute in Sask. in a program directly related to telecommunications, including but not limited to  electrical, electronic or telecommunications engineering, computer sciences, accounting, and business administration.   • SIAST Centennial Merit Scholarships: One scholarship per program to applicant (under 30 yrs of age) with the highest average (minimum 70%) based on most recent level of secondary education. Average calculated using the following five subjects: 1) ELA A30; 2) ELA B30; 3) Social Studies 30, History 30 or Native Studies 30; and 4) the highest grade in a 20- or 30-level math and science.   • SGI Corporate Scholarship Program: Open to Sask. residents attending accredited post-secondary institutions in Sask. in a program related to the business needs of SGI (i.e. Accounting, Auto Trades, Business, Commerce, Info. Tech., Nursing, Office Administration, Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, and others.) There is one award for university and one for a technical institute - $2500 each. Students must show contributions to community, extra-curricular activities or commitments made in balancing work, education and home and also be receiving no other scholarship funding for the school year.   • SaskPower Scholarship Program: SaskPower has revamped their scholarship program. Up to three awards of $3000 for entrance awards for Saskatchewan residents who will be entering a post-secondary program in Saskatchewan with preference given to those studying in a field related to the electrical industry. Must have at least an 80% in ELA A & B 30, a 30 level Math, 30 level Science, 30 level Social Science and two other 30 level electives.
